Dia De Los Muertos or All Souls Day is a Mexican celebration of the lives of loved ones lost. A sacred tradition where beautiful alters are built for the dead adorned with flowers, food offerings, photos of family members and/or friends and other possessions. Skulls or "calaveras" are made from paper mache or sugar are hand painted. The day long festivities include a religious ceremony, music and dancing.
