The renovation is now complete. I am actually sad that it is over. A week and a half job turned into a three weeks, although each work week was not a straight 7 day work week. I have learned a lot about home improvement, whether it be small or large. You must have patience and the willingness to learn and make mistakes. To keep an open mind. To listen to your contractor and ask questions whether you think they are relevant or not. Be kind to your contractor's workers. Always say "Thank You". A little goes a long way. Always be prepared for obstacles and know you can work through them. Have patience. Know exactly what your workers are working on each day they are present. Know their work schedule. Trust your contractor. Have patience. Always keep up with purchases and keep receipts and record them accordingly. Keep within your budget. Watch your budget. If you save in one area, maybe you can splurge in the other, but NOT go overboard. Have patience. Is this something I would want to do again? Absolutely!
