the "wolf moon"

The first full moon of the new year is the biggest and brightest of the 2010. It is also known as the "wolf moon" according to Native American myths with hungry, howling wolves in the cold of the winter's night. Mars, an orange looking star just to the left of a visibly huge moon (not visible thru my digital, but to the naked eye) is approximately 221,000 miles close to earth, 30% brighter and appears 12% larger. "hooooowwwwl"!
